Participation in the 8th European Symposium on Biomaterials and Related Areas in Weimar

In May 2025, Zhongqian Xi and I attended in the 8th European Symposium on Biomaterials and Related Areas, BioMAT 2025, which held in Weimar, Germany. This event brought together researchers from various disciplines to exchange the latest developments in biomaterials and their biological and medical applications through plenary lectures, oral presentations, and poster sessions.

My project partner and I presented our research in an oral presentation entitled ''The Role of Surface-Bound Protein Concentration in Osteoblast and S. aureus''. We demonstrated how different concentrations of the protein coating on Ti-6Al-4V alloy can affect osteoblasts and inhibit bacterial growth. This gave us the opportunity to share our findings with international scientists specializing in biomaterials and related fields, receive valuable feedback, and discuss our results. The conference also provided valuable opportunities to establish new scientific contacts, and gain insight into current approaches and developments relevant to our research.
