We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Ya-Fan Chen on the successful defense of his dissertation!

As part of M-M-M, Ya-Fan successfully completed his doctoral degree in Project F, “Digitized Antimicrobial Biomaterials Semantic Knowledge Base,” under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Marek Sierka and Prof. Dr. Thilo Figge. With his defense on 10 September 2026, he has reached an important milestone in his academic career. His dissertation is titled “Digitalization of Material Classes: Glass, Polymers, and Antimicrobial Biomaterials .”
