Visit to BLINK AG in Jena

On 24 September 2026, we spent the afternoon at Blink AG in Jena. After presenting ourselves and our work within the RTG, we got introduced to the work done at Blink AG. After getting to know their groundbreaking, bead-based multiplex PCR technology and their machines, we received a guided tour, where we could take a quick glimpse into the bead production, as well as see their laboratories and their workshop. They emphasized their approach in doing as much of the work as possible in house as well as staying independent of bigger biotechnology companies.
Overall, it was an insightful event where we learnt a lot about the next generation of PCR.
