SPIE Photonics West is one of the largest international conferences in photonics and optical technologies, covering topics ranging from laser physics and optical engineering to biomedical imaging. With thousands of participants from academia and industry, the conference serves as a major platform for presenting technological advances in optical science and instrumentation.

At Photonics West 2025, I presented our research in a talk titled “Investigating Adaptive Optics for Aberration Control in STED and (STED-)FCS Microscopy.” The presentation focused on how optical aberrations can limit spatial resolution and quantitative measurements in fluorescence microscopy and how adaptive optics can be used to control and correct these effects.

The conference provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with experts working on optical system design, wavefront shaping, and high-resolution microscopy, many of which are highly relevant for developing new imaging strategies within the RTG M-M-M framework.
